Sophomore sensation leads the nation

With 35 goals sophomore field hockey player Jocelyn Novak was recognized as the nation’s top scorer for the 2009 season. Novak exceeded DI leader Loren Sherer of UConn, who had 32 goals, and DII leader Amanda Riley of Bloomsburg with 27 goals. Novak’s success led her back to All-American status this year as she was chosen for the second team, improving from her third team All-American status last year.
